PICK UP OF UNACCEPTED WORK: Wednesday, October 30, 2019, before 4pm. Any artwork not picked up will be charged $50/day.

PROCEDURE: Artists will be contacted by WIAC only if your work is not accepted.  Calls will go out Tuesday, October 29, 2019.  Please check your voice mail – we will use the number you supply with submission.

PICKUP OF ACCEPTED WORK: Monday, November 25th 10am to 2pm and Tuesday, November 26th 10am to 2pm. Any artwork NOT picked up will be charged $50/day.

MAIN GALLERY HOURS: Monday – Friday 9am to 4pm and Saturday 1pm to 5pm.

ENTRY CRITERIA:  All 2D pieces submitted must be original and not previously exhibited at the Keystone Fine Art Juried Exhibition.

All artwork must be ready to hang with a wire, framed or gallery wrapped – no saw tooth, fast frames or clips. Artwork not ready to hang will be denied acceptance.  SIZE CRITERIA: All artwork must be no larger than 30” x 40” max – In any direction, NO EXCEPTIONS.

CATEGORIES: There are seven categories, please place your artwork in the category it is 90% of.  Oil/Acrylic  Watercolor/Pastel  Drawing/Graphite/Pen & Ink  Photo/Digital  Fiber/Paper  Other Media   Student 17 & Under

AWARDS: Prizes totaling $1,925.00. Prizes given in each adult category of $200 for first place and $100 for second place. Prizes given in the student category of $75 for first place and $50 for second place.

MARKETING: By submitting work, you are giving the Walk In Art Center permission to photograph accepted works for promotional materials exclusively for the exhibition.  

SALES: All pieces must be for sale. The Walk In Art Center will deduct a 30% commission.  Artist’s portion of the sale will be mailed within 30 days of the show closing.  

LIABILITY: All reasonable care and security will be taken in handling and displaying the works submitted.  Artists are responsible for insuring their own works of art.  The Walk In Art Center assumes no responsibility for work lost, stolen or damaged by any possible cause while in the Walk In Art Center’s possession.  

THE JURORS

Ann Piper Associate Professor of Drawing and Painting at Susquehanna University. Ann holds a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art and an MFA from New Mexico State University. Her paintings and drawings have been exhibited widely across the United States for the past twenty years. Her artwork appeared in The Perception of Appearance: A Decade of American Contemporary Figurative Drawing (Frye Art Museum, Seattle, Washington) as well as the 4th INPA (International Painting Annual)  (MANIFEST, Cincinnati, Ohio). She participated in the Jentel Artist Residency Program in April 2017 and the Pentaculum Artists’ Residency at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in 2018.  

Shannon Fugate Executive Director of The Baum School of Art in Allentown for nearly a decade, with over 17 years of experience in community visual arts education in Pennsylvania.  Prior to The Baum School of Art, Fugate served as Director of Education for Studio B in Boyertown, Program Director at The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, and teaching artist at The Banana Factory in Bethlehem.  Fugate is a summa cum laude graduate of Kutztown University, with a BFA. Her personal work in printmaking, painting, and photography has been featured in solo and group exhibitions regionally, nationally, and internationally. She is passionate about the transformative power of community art education, particularly for underserved populations and youth. She lives in Macungie, PA with her husband and two daughters
