Rebecca “Reb” Donohue is a Blue Mountain High School Alumni from Orwigsburg, Pa. She is currently entering her senior year of undergraduate studies at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA as student of their Art History and Photography B.F.A. programs. Rebecca has been interested in photography since her sophomore year at Blue Mountain High School where she studied and grew as an artist under Bill Whalen and Thad Pasierb. Her business, Reb Don Photography has been blossoming since the Spring of 2013. She has a strong focus on portraiture because she enjoys creating connections with her subjects, specifically high school seniors. Her fine art portraits are commonly focused on themes such as gender, identity, and feminism.
Not only does Reb have experience in digital photography, but is also educated in film photography, graphic design, gallery curation, art restoration, and ceramics. She also had the honor of representing Lycoming College at the Society of Photographic Education Conference this past year, as well as assisting the Lycoming College Arts Department in planning the 2018 Intercollegiate Art History Symposium. Her works have also been in numerous juried exhibitions around Williamsport, and published in the College’s yearly publication The Tributary.
Alongside photography, Reb is a NCAA Division III Swimmer, a coach for the Blue Mountain Sharks Swim Team, the Vice President of her sorority, Gamma Delta Sigma, and the President of the Lycoming College Panhellenic Council. After graduating from Lycoming, Reb hopes to attend graduate school in hopes to obtain her M.F.A. in Photography. She also hopes to one day become a college professor.
