Brigitte King

Hi, I'm Brigitte.

I grew up in Germany and lived in VA, TX, NJ, NYC, and now Pottsville.

I bring a background in art, design, science, and the love of life to my work.

But if anything, I find inspiration in bowls of noodles, cups of tea, dirt on the streets, strange people, and watching great minds at work.

I create interiors for small spaces, photograph people, clouds, dolls, animals, and everything else big and small.  I recently started pottery.

In the past, I sculpted, welded, danced, researched, acted, wrote short stories and poetry, coded, made music, and dreamed of traveling the globe.

I traveled a little through Europe and North Africa and lost my heart to Morocco and the Sahara.

My work has been exhibited in galleries, cafes, and art centers in Frankfurt, Germany; NYC, NJ; and here at WIAC. I self-published four books, did CD and DVD covers, produced an independent film, did still photography for a feature film, model portfolios, shot catalogs and advertising, and I daydreamed a lot.

I love chocolate, the ocean, and long hair, but I dislike peanut butter.
