For Immediate Release

The Walk In Art Center is proud to have the opportunity to showcase the work of our artists in local businesses and organizations. Recently, we partnered with 419 Market and Cafe in Orwigsburg. Additionally, for the month of August, local businesses invited us to do a Pop Up Art exhibit; thanks to Hope Hill Lavender Farms, Lewis General Store, 4Play, Loafer's Glory, Salon Indulgence and the Penn State Lion Launch Hub.

We are proud to add the Schuylkill County Courthouse in Pottsville to this list of partnerships as we begin exhibiting in their facilities. Walk In Art Center's Executive Director Lisa Robinson believes it is a great benefit to both artists and to the community: "In the last year and a half, the Walk In Art Center has been a major contributor to adding art and culture to the area. The WIAC artists have been exhibiting in local businesses and organizations throughout Schuylkill County. Most recently, we have added the Schuylkill County Courthouse. Exhibiting outside our facility gives the artists the exposure to help educate the public on talent located right here in their back yard."

Art is displayed on both the ground floor and first floor of the courthouse and will be a quarterly, rotating exhibition. Maintenance staff were on hand to ensure the artwork was carefully displayed. There is a great variety of work to see and most pieces are for sale. You can find more details on the artists and purchasing work by contacting the WIAC office at 570.732.3728.
