The Walk In Art Center was recently named as the Folk Art Center for Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill Counties by The Pennsylvania Council For The Arts. Representatives of M&T Bank and Wilmington Trust presented the center with a $10,000 check to support this program’s activities.

"Our area is rich in history, culture and traditions that should be recognized and passed on to future generations," said Lisa Robinson, Executive Director of The Walk In Art Center. We will use this generous donation to develop and organize a variety of events and educational activities to keep these traditions alive,” she said.

The Walk In Art Center is a nonprofit art center located at 220 Parkway, Schuylkill Haven, PA. Their mission is to inspire, equip and celebrate the cultural and creative talent of the community through education, workshops, fund raising events and programs.
