Our mission is to provide an environment for young artists through which they can improve and showcase their techniques through education and fellowship.
The purpose of this group will be to offer a safe, imaginative, resourceful and encouraging environment for young adults to express themselves and share with others. Students will be able to participate in art projects and group discussions or work on independent projects. Guidance will be provided by Walk In Art Center artist(s).
Benefits of Art:
The WIAC Art Club will be a group of tweens/teens (Ages 13-18) that are dedicated to learning and creating their own original artwork. Anyone ages younger must have approval.
Anyone wishing to join the WIAC Art club that is under the age of 13 years old must submit a portfolio or art samples for review: (3-5) pieces of artwork to the instructor(s) or overseer of the group for approval.
Two Walk In Art Center Artists will overseeing the project and responsible for the instruction and leadership of the WIAC Art Club. The WIAC Art Club will be guided by two WIAC Artists using demonstration and a structured step by step process.
During the monthly meetings, students will be given either singular/group projects or studies to work on. All assignments are optional, but encouraged. Students may work independently. All students attending WIAC Art Club meetings must be working on a task regardless if assigned or independent. Artwork created will be held for a collective discussion and critique when finished.
The WIAC Art Club will primarily focus on drawing and painting technical skills. However, students may bring any materials/mediums of their own to create with. Other artists may also be brought in by the Artist Instructor(s) to demonstrate other techniques and styles to the group.

Meetings will be held once a month, for approximately 2 hours. Held at the Walk In Art Center in the 2nd floor Classroom every second Sunday of the month.
